e-Safety Check Registration Inspections

An e-Safety check is a road worthiness report for registered vehicles in NSW. Under the previous paper based scheme it was commonly referred to as a “Pink Slip”. All vehicles older than 5 years must undergo an e-Safety check as a registration requirement. Once the results of your inspection are submitted online you have 42 days to renew your registration. If an e-Safety check is required for your vehicle your registration papers will have “Inspection Required” on them.

John Scott Motors is an authorised inspection station under the Authorised Inspection Station scheme and can perform E Safety checks in our workshop. An e-Safety check takes approximately 30 minutes and involved checking the vehicles:

  • Brakes
  • Driving lights
  • Tail lights
  • Wheel bearings
  • Condition of tyres
  • Oil leaks and other mechanical safety issues
